Check it out! We have a link in the Globe. Read all the way till the end for the link...
Here's a quote though that's ridiculous:
"
"The reason you don't want to give it away free is that it may attract the wrong type of individual," says Murray McCaig, co-CEO of Toronto-based Spotnik Mobile. "Rather than a high-end mobile professional who is looking for a secure reliable service it may attract kids who just want to surf the Internet." List prices -- paid online by credit card -- range from $5-$10 an hour, with monthly packages available for about $35.
"
Wrong type of indiviudal? Are you with us on this planet Mr. McCaig? Kids DRIVE the adoption curve of most technologies that become mainstream. Look at video games, blogging, texting, skateboarding, music... When kids start doing it, their parents will want to do it, too. That audience you WANT for Wifi adoption are kids, giving it street cred. Oh sorry, that would be CREDIBILITY, a very important business term you should know plenty about.
Oh yah, please fix your hotspots, Spotnik. The places that host your hotspots look really silly when they don't work...
