I dunno about you but there is no chance in heck I would bay $30 for a 6 hour flight. Of course the target customer of this service are people who are expensing this type of service so in that case it may be useful. The $10 for 30 minute plan though it very decent for inflight service. You could write all the emails and queue em up, send them, check them and browse the web a bit to download content to read offline. Yah that plan makes some sense to me.

Some more details from teh Decima Canadian WiFi users survey. 45% would choose a flat monthly fee of $25. Really? I wonder what they would say if the number of hotspots was say 20 in all of Toronto. This assumes cell-phone like penetration I bet. The reality is that people want free WiFi and they usually get it too because of unsecure APs...

The behemoths are scrambling. Hehe... What I read is this: The phone companies realize that their opportunity to continue to gouge people at $40/month for local service is ending. So hey, let's provide wireless at $80 month. More value right? And they'll probably keep their existing service since the new bleeding edge stuff won't work that well. I don't buy it. And neither will you.
